FitterVitaal did not start as a polished online concept. It grew from years of working with real people, real schedules and real eating habits. We did not want to add another diet to an already crowded market. it had to become something simpler: normal food, personally adjusted and realistic enough to keep doing in daily life.
We are Ramon Lopes and Sacha Lopes. We are both certified Fitness Trainer A and B professionals and lifestyle coaches. Since 2017, we have helped more than 300 people through personal training, boxing, coaching and nutrition guidance. During those years we kept seeing the same thing: training helps, but without grip on food many people keep struggling to feel calm, clear and consistent.
That is why we now focus mainly on nutrition. Not with pills, shakes, appetite suppressants or extreme methods, but with regular supermarket food. We use Vytal because the platform fits normal healthy eating, personal calories, macros and preferences. And because Vytal normally works through professionals, we make that approach easier to access: low priced, no contract, 14 days free for new accounts and monthly cancellation.
Why FitterVitaal exists
FitterVitaal exists because we have seen how complicated healthy eating can feel. Not because people lack motivation, but because daily life makes food difficult. The supermarket, your phone, petrol stations, busy workdays and family routines all make quick choices easier than conscious choices.
When we started from a personal training studio in 2017, much of the work revolved around training. One-on-one coaching, boxing sessions, strength, condition and personal attention. Still, nutrition always came back. Someone could train hard and still get stuck because the eating pattern did not match the goal or because there was no overview.
With FitterVitaal we wanted to make that overview easier. Not by giving people a strict plan that only works when everything is perfect, but by creating a base that fits normal days. A day when you work, shop, feel tired, help children, have social plans and do not want food to take over your whole mind.
That is also why FitterVitaal does not need to be an expensive coaching package. Some people want personal coaching, but many people mainly want a clear plan they can start with independently. FitterVitaal was made accessible for that group.
FitterVitaal and the problem behind the numbers
The numbers show why this subject matters. According to CBS and RIVM, around 50 percent of Dutch adults had overweight in 2024, and around 16 percent had obesity. CBS also reported that overweight among people aged 2 to 25 increased from 15 percent in 2014 to 17 percent in 2022. RIVM expects that the share of Dutch residents with overweight could rise to around 64 percent by 2050 if nothing changes.
Those numbers are large, but FitterVitaal is not about statistics alone. Behind those numbers are ordinary people. People who have already tried many things. People who do not need more guilt. People who mostly need clarity about what they can eat today, tomorrow and next week.
That is why we choose a positive approach with FitterVitaal. Healthy eating does not have to start with fear, shame or a perfect picture. It can start with calm. With knowing what fits your goal. With meals you recognize. With a plan that does not fight your normal life.
Why FitterVitaal focuses mainly on nutrition
When we still worked from the studio, we were limited by location. People had to live nearby, travel to the studio and be available at fixed times. That worked well for some people, but it also created clear limits.
At the same time, fitness is available almost everywhere. Gyms, group classes, personal trainers, apps and training programs are easy to find. Movement remains important, but many people still get stuck on food. Not on Monday when motivation is high, but on Thursday evening, in the weekend or during a busy work week.
That is why FitterVitaal moved more and more toward nutrition. For many people, that is where the biggest and most lasting change happens. Not because training is unimportant, but because food returns every day. You may train three times a week, but you eat several times a day.
FitterVitaal helps with that daily part. No extreme rules. No standard low-carb approach. No fasting as the default method. No appetite suppressants, pills or shakes. Just normal food, personal portions and structure you can repeat.
A FitterVitaal nutrition plan is normal, but personal
The base of a FitterVitaal nutrition plan is simple: ordinary daily food, adjusted to your goal. That means calories, macros and personal preferences matter. Not everyone needs the same amount. Not everyone likes the same products. Not everyone has the same routine.
A good plan should be clear, but also human. You need to know what to do without feeling that your life becomes smaller. FitterVitaal tries to create that balance: enough structure to see progress, enough room to keep going.
We do think it is smart to follow the plan properly at first. Not because nothing can ever change, but because otherwise you do not know what works. If you change everything every day, you are not really measuring anything. Follow a clear base for a while, learn from it, then adjust when needed.
Why FitterVitaal uses Vytal
FitterVitaal uses Vytal because the platform fits our view of food. Vytal is built around normal healthy eating and long-term habit formation. No strange products, no temporary trick and no method that only works while everything is extremely strict.
An important detail is that Vytal is not directly available to private end users. It is used through professionals. Different health professionals can use Vytal with their clients.
FitterVitaal makes Vytal accessible to people who want to start independently. We intentionally keep that low-threshold. New accounts can begin with 14 days free. After that, each person decides whether to continue. There are no long contracts and no mandatory coaching packages. You can cancel monthly.
That fits the way we want FitterVitaal to work. If the goal is to help more people eat healthier, the first step should not be unnecessarily high. You should not have to buy a big program before you are allowed to begin with better choices.
You can read more about the approach and current start options on the FitterVitaal homepage. More articles are available through the FitterVitaal blog overview.
No mandatory coaching, but real experience behind FitterVitaal
FitterVitaal is not just an app without a thought behind it. Our background in personal training, boxing and lifestyle coaching still shapes how we look at nutrition. We know what happens in real life.
People sometimes eat too little and think that is good. People sometimes start too strictly and quit after two weeks. People often want to change, but do not know where to begin. And a plan only matters if someone can actually follow it on a normal Tuesday.
That is why FitterVitaal does not have to be the same for everyone. If you mainly want independent overview, that is fine. If you first want to experience what a personal nutrition plan feels like, that is fine too. If you want to start without being locked into something, that is exactly why FitterVitaal is accessible.
Why FitterVitaal does not want to be a strict diet
A strict diet can create quick results. Very low calories, cutting food groups, only shakes, avoiding carbohydrates or only eating in a certain window can all lead to temporary weight loss. The issue is not that those methods never work. The issue is that many people cannot or do not want to keep doing them.
FitterVitaal chooses a different route. If you eventually need to return to normal food anyway, it is better to learn how normal food works for you. That may sound less spectacular than a hard challenge, but for many people it is much more valuable.
That is why FitterVitaal keeps the base simple:
- normal supermarket products;
- meals you recognize;
- personal calories and macros;
- room for preferences;
- structure without unnecessary rules;
- no pills, shakes or appetite suppressants;
- attention to protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber and fullness.
It may sound less exciting than the newest diet trend, but that is exactly where the strength is. A plan you can repeat on ordinary days has more value than a perfect plan that falls apart after two weeks.
From a local studio to online FitterVitaal
The move from studio to online made sense. In the studio we could do good work, but we were limited by location, time and cost. Online, FitterVitaal can reach more people at a lower price, without someone needing to live nearby.
That matters. Health should not depend on your postcode, your schedule or your budget for intensive coaching. FitterVitaal grew from real coaching experience, but it no longer has to be tied to a physical studio.
By working online, we can keep the price low. And because there is no mandatory coaching package, someone can start small. First experience it. Then decide. That fits the way many people want to begin.
What we hope to achieve with FitterVitaal
Our goal with FitterVitaal is not to turn everyone into a fitness model. It is not to scare people with numbers either. The goal is simpler: we want to help as many people as possible eat healthier in a way they can maintain.
For one person that means weight loss. For another it means more energy. For someone else it means finally understanding what they eat in a day. Sometimes it simply means less stress because you no longer have to make every food decision from scratch.
This is built for people who do not want diet nonsense, but do want change. For people who know something needs to happen, but do not want a strict program. For people who want normal food, better planning and a healthier life step by step.
That is why we do FitterVitaal.
Normal food. Personally adjusted. No unnecessary obligations. And most importantly: something you can still keep doing after the first few weeks.
